Druskininkai

First written record about Druskininkai dates back to 17th century. It is an old town in Lithuania traditionally seen as a place for recreation. In 1974 Druskininkai was declared as a health resort by the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King of Poland Stanislovas Augustas.

Over the centuries, Druskininkai grew as a town and as a resort. Today Druskininkai is one of the best known and most popular resorts in Lithuania. It is known for the excellent facilities and stunning natural beauty, which attracts not only Lithuanians, but also visitors from neighboring countries.

Druskininkai is home for the annual “Rally Classic Druskininkai” final round, which attracts crowds of motorsport fans. Dzūkija region offers not only a venturesome and unpredictable rally championship event, but also the opportunity to enjoy various recreational facilities of this area.
